Military Investigates Alleged Maltreatment Of Rating By Naval Officer
The Nigerian Military says it has commenced investigation into a viral video, alleging maltreatment of one Seaman Haruna Goshit, a naval rating by a senior naval officer.

The seaman had accused the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP), Rear Admiral Ifeola Mohammed, of allegedly maltreating and physically ‘brutalizing’ him.
However, Major General John Enenche, the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations (DMO), in a statement on Tuesday said, “In line with global best practices, the Military High Command has commenced investigation on the viral video with a view to unraveling the true state of affairs.”
“The general public is hereby notified that the outcome of the investigation will be made known when concluded”, he said.
