Troops arrest Notorious Bandit, Rescue 2 Kidnap Victims
Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation SAHEL SANITY, on Tuesday, August 25, arrested a notorious wanted bandit, Isuhu Ibrahim, popularly known as Bula, in Katsina State.
The Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brig. –Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, said Bula was arrested in a village, Wagini, in Batsari Local Government Area (LGA).

Onyeuko told newsmen at the party Super Camp 4 in Faskari, Katsina State, that “ troops arrested a wanted notorious bandit named Isuhu Ibrahim (aka Bula) in Wagini village in Katsina, in the company of other bandits that have been terrorising the area for some time.
“The troops also deployed at Daki Takwas conducted a snap roadblock and successfully intercepted a Toyota Corolla car with Reg No. DAL 41MT and after a search on the vehicle, 11 brand new locally-made rifles were discovered.”
He said troops also rescued one adult male and one female earlier kidnapped by bandits with four other persons at Daudawa village of Faskari Local Government Area.
“The victims managed to escape from their abductors as a result of troops intense operational activities in the area.
“The rescued persons have been handed over to officials of Faskari LGA for an onward reunion with their families while efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining four victims,” Onyeuko said.
Katsina State in Nigeria’s Northwest region is facing frequent terror attacks which have displaced over 20,000 local civilians and caused destruction of property from communities.
On July 7, the army inaugurated Operation Sahel Sanity to tackle banditry and other criminal activities in Katsina, Kaduna, Zamfara and Sokoto State.
