Boko Haram’s bomb-making fertilizer dump in Sambisa Forest
The Special Forces Brigade Troops of 402, Nigerian Army have discovered a huge urea fertilizer dump being hidden under a tree in BUK by Boko Haram/ISWAP in BUK, Sambisa forest.
The fertilizer was banned by the Nigerian government in the North East because of its usage in the manufacturing of improvised explosive devices (IED) by the terrorist group since 2019.
Zagazola Makama, a top Security Analyst reported that the troops were on clearance Operation under the auspices of Operation Desert Sanity, headed by Lt. Col Ishaya Manga, when they discovered more than 50 bags of 50kg urea fertilizer suspected to be used by the terrorists to plants explosives targeting at troops along different route.

It will be recalled that on Feb 3, 2022, a Leader of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Borno State, Ibrahim Maliya Saidu was killed by an explosion which was reportedly triggered by mines planted by Boko Haram insurgents.
The incident which occurred at Maliya village, Mandaragarau ward in Biu Local Government Area of Borno, also left 5 others injured.
Another, incident occured on Feb 12, seven Nigerian soldiers survived bomb attacks when they ran into an Improvised Explosive Device(IED), planted by ISWAP terrorists along Maiduguri-Damboa road, which was approximately few kilometers to BUK.
The soldiers from the 134 Special Forces Battalion 7 Division Garrison Maiduguri were escorting commuters when their vehicle stepped on the IED planted along the route Delwa – Bulabulin, Damboa Local Government Area on Saturday, Feb 12, 2022.
Troops of Op. Hadin Kai have thwarted Boko Haram/ISWAP attack on Military formation in Konduga.
On the 27 February, The Nigerian troops thwarted an attempt by the insurgents to plant an explosive on the Main road in the axis of Mandaragarau.
