Again ISWAP kills 9 Boko Haram in a Violent rivalry clash in Abadam

The violent rivalry between two major Islamic terrorist groups Abubakar Shekau-led Boko Haram and Islamic State for West African Province (ISWAP) in Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State on Tuesday left 9 insurgents dead.

This was less than 48 hours after ISWAP terrorists attacked another set of terrorists in Dikwa, killing about 17 of them.

Zagazola Makama, a top Counter Insurgency and Security expert disclosed that the ISWAP staged an ambushed against the Boko Haram on Tuesday March 8, 2022, in Yauma Wango village which triggered a fierce gun battle.

The ISWAP terrorists were said to have overpowered the few Boko Haram, killing many of them and seizing their weapons, Gun trucks and motorcycles.

According to him, the ISWAP were earlier deployed to Jabullam and Yauma Wango in about 16 gun trucks to stage an attack on Malam Fatori and Damasak towns.

The continued internal rift and the hostility between the two terrorist groups were exacerbated by the killing of Senior ISWAP Commander, Abou Sadiqou Buorubouru and several other Mujahideens who were ambushed by Boko Haram in the fringes of Mandara Mountain.
