How 29 terrorists were killed as ISWAP, Boko Haram clashed again in Borno

Again, the fighters of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) has attacked its rival faction the Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād (Boko Haram) terrorists in the enclaves, midnight on Friday in Bama Local Government of Borno State, killing 29 fighters.
It was gathered that a column of the ISWAP terrorists led by Ba’ana Chigori, invaded the Boko Haram positions in Gaizuwa otherwise known as Gabchari, Mantari and Mallum Masari in the operations which started at about 2100hourz and lasted until 3a.m.
An Intelligence Officer told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad attack triggered a fierce gun battle between the terror groups.

“The ISWAP overpowered the rival groups who were taken unaware and killed scores of them while the surviving terrorists retreated. Women and children were spared.
“The dead fighters were buried around the home of Abu Iklilima in Gabchari at about 8:30am on Saturday September 17,”he said.
He said “The Boko Haram Leadership late held a meeting at about 11 a.m. to declare a major reprisal offensive against ISWAP terrorists, with fighters mobilised from the axis of Mafa, Karkut,Shiwai, lawe Kanuriye, Kirwa and Amtifur.
“The Boko Haram element will carry out the reprisal attack today, September 17, 2022,”he said.
Recalled that ISWAP terrorists have eliminated 8 of Boko Haram terrorists including Commander simply identified as “Kundu” on Thursday Sept. 15. between the axis of Bama to Dikwa in Borno.
Another 23 fighters were killed in the camp of the Bula Shaitan and Kolori located between Bama and Konduga.
