Niger Delta group commends NNPC over peace in the region

The Niger Delta Indigenous Contractors Association (NDICA) has commended the Nigeria National Petroleum Co-operation (NNPC) Limited for the current peace being enjoyed in the Niger Delta region.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued on Wednesday by it’s National President, Chief Dressman Darlinton-Gbolobofa.

He said the pipeline surveillance contract issued to a Niger Delta son – Government Ekpemupolo, aka, Tompolo via his Tantita Security outfit, is already yielding positive results, especially in terms of improving Nigeria’s crude oil output and revenue inflow.

“We commend the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd., Engr. Mele Kyari and Engr. Adokiye Tombomieye for the peace and tranquility being experienced in the Niger Delta Region through the award of surveillance contracts to eminent sons of the Niger Delta Region.

“In recent times, the region has witnessed a reduction in illegal oil activities, relative peace, low death rate, gainful surveillance employment opportunities for our youths, which has further reduced some illegal activities such as sea piracy, kidnapping, Armed robbery and cult related activities in the region,” he said.

Chief Darlinton-Gbolobofa while commending the NNPC Ltd for the initiative, equally called on all Niger Delta leaders and stakeholders to unite in the fight against illegal oil activities in the region to curb the under development and environmental degradation.
