Troops rescue nine local farmers abducted by Boko Haram in Mafa LGA

The Troops of 195 Battalion Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI Daji, on September 25, 2023, rescued nine local farmers kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in the North East of Borno State.

It was gathered that troops of 195 Battalion in conjunction with hybrid forces and Civilian Joint Task Force on fighting patrol, made contact with terrorists and their kidnap victims at Maiwa Village, Mafa LGA.
Zagazola Makama understands that during the encounter, the troops opened heavy fire on the terrorists, forcing them to flee, leaving the 9 local farmers, consisting of 3 women and 6 men, who were abducted.
The troops also recovered one AK-47 rifle, one magazine, and 30 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
