NAF airstrikes eliminate scores of ISWAP fighters including 3 Commanders in Marte

Precision-guided airstrikes coordinated by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai have resulted in the killing of scores of ISWAP fighters, including three commanders, in Marte Local Government Area, Borno State.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region, that the successful airstrikes were carried out after the terrorists were trailed around a remote village at Arinna Woje on the evening of Sunday.

The sources said that the fighter aircraft delivered a full package of aggressive bombardments, leading to the obliteration of scores of fighters.

He said that the bodies of the three commanders, including Abacha, Bakura, an indigene of Jibularam, Babagangida and 22 other jihadists, were later recovered and buried on Monday afternoon.

The funeral prayer was attended by ISWAP Amirul Fiye, Abu Hamza, Khaid of Tumbumma, Abu Nazir, Abu Rijal, the Khaid of Koloram and several other fighters.
