Nigerian Army Debunks Fake Recruitment Publication, Warns Public Against Fraudsters
The Nigerian Army has dismissed as false a publication currently circulating on social media claiming that the application process for the 90th Regular Recruitment Intake has commenced.
In a statement issued on Friday, Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations at the Directorate of Recruitment, Captain AU Hammanga, described the publication as “fake and misleading,” urging members of the public to disregard it in its entirety.

“The Nigerian Army maintains a clear and official procedure for announcing recruitment exercises and related activities,” the statement read. “Authentic information regarding recruitment will only be published through the Nigerian Army’s verified official platforms.”
The Army further assured Nigerians that it will duly notify the public once the recruitment portal for the 90th Regular Intake is formally opened. It also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and professionalism in its recruitment process while cautioning citizens against falling victim to fraudsters exploiting the situation.
