FCT police raid blackspots, arrest 78 suspects
The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has arrested 78 suspects in coordinated raids across Abuja.
The operation, conducted on Sept. 26 by personnel from Nyanya, Kubwa, Mabushi, Apo, Utako, Jikwoyi, Durumi, Karmo, Lokogoma, Dutse Alhaji and Kurudu divisions, targeted criminal hideouts, black spots and uncompleted buildings within their areas of responsibility.

Sources said that the raids were part of ongoing efforts to rid the FCT and its environs of criminal elements.
The sources said that the suspects were in custody undergoing screening and interrogation, adding that those found culpable would be charged to court.
The sources said the command assured residents that the FCT remained relatively calm and peaceful, and urged the public to continue supporting security agencies with credible information.
