NACOLM Students Visit 2 Division Headquarters, Ibadan — GOC Reiterates Importance of Logistics Training
The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General C.R. Nnebeife, has emphasized the importance of continuous logistics training for officers of the Nigerian Army as a critical component for operational success.
He made the remark while receiving a delegation from the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM) led by its Commandant, Major General A.C. Adetoba, who visited the Headquarters 2 Division, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan, as part of a routine study tour by students of the Logistics Management Course 23/2025.
Represented by the Commander, 2 Division Garrison, Brigadier General A.S. Bugaje, the GOC noted that logistics remains a strategic pillar in sustaining military operations across all formations, urging participants to apply the knowledge gained from the visit to improve the Army’s operational efficiency.
The study tour, a key component of the NACOLM curriculum, was designed to expose students to the practical aspects of administering logistics support in active military environments. During the visit, the students received detailed briefings on the Division’s operational activities and the logistics structure supporting its Forward Operating Bases (FOBs).

In his remarks, Major General Adetoba described logistics as a decisive factor in the success of military operations. He stressed that “the solution to logistics issues is adequate training and coordination,” and called for greater investment in training officers to strengthen the Nigerian Army’s logistics system nationwide.
He also expressed appreciation to the GOC for granting the college the opportunity to study the Division’s logistics framework firsthand, describing the experience as invaluable to the students’ professional development.
The Deputy Commandant of NACOLM, Brigadier General J.I.B. Manjang, senior officers of Headquarters 2 Division, the Acting Director of Studies, Colonel J.A. Emuekpere (Rtd), as well as Chief Instructors and members of the Directing Staff, were present at the event.
