President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday decorated the Commander, Guards Brigade, Major General Musa Sani Yusuf with his new rank, assisted by his wife, Hajia Amina Yusuf.
Present at the decoration ceremony which held at State House were the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General TY Buratai and the Provost Marshall, Nigerian Army, Major General Hamman
At a reception held for the Brigade Commander at Scorpion Officers Mess shortly after, Major General Yusuf thaked Almighty God for his grace upon his life and the life of President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the recommendation of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General TY Buratai as well as the Army Council for his promtion.
Thereafter he thanked his wife Hajia Amina Yusuf for all the sacrifices and for keeping the home front intact .

General Yusuf did not forget Guards Brigade (Scorpion Family) whom he noted always gave their best to justify the elite status of the brigade.
Speaking after, Guest of Honour at the reception, Major General Ahmed Mohammed, Chief of Training and Operations, Defence Headquarters, commanded members of NDA Regular Course 37 for their exemplary conduct and performance noting that it explained why the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General TY Buratai found it worthy to promote all of them.
While noting that it has never happened before, the CTOP expressed joy that regular 37 which are close to him were a pride to the Nigerian Army.
Present at the reception were Major General Ude, Chief of Army Transformation, Major General Shodunke, DASE, Major General Jakko, CAB, Brigadier General SK Usman, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar among others.
