Military Relocates IDPs in Preparation for New Offensives against Terrorists

The Nigerian Military has intensified efforts to flush out remnants of Boko Haram insurgents at Jakana town, along Maiduguri-Damaturu expressway.

To this end, residents of the area located at Konduga Local Government (LGA), Borno State, have been evacuated to Bakassi IDP Camp for their own safety.

This is as a result of the ongoing military operations targeted at decimating the terrorists’ group.

The camp officials, consisting of various stakeholders in humanitarian response mission including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) are mobilizing resources to cater for the needs of the fresh arrivals, after their registration and profiling.
