Security agents comb forests, raid kidnappers’ hideout in Ogbomosho

The Joint Security Task Force in Oyo State, Operation Burst and personnel of Amotekun combed the entire forest Yesterday 7 August 2022 in Surulere Local Government Area Ogbomoso in search of hideouts of kidnappers and other criminal elements.

Some suspected criminals were reportedly arrested while some criminals were killed in the process. Arms and ammunition were confiscated during the operation.

Report indicates the security operatives angrily destroyed a hotel owned by a retired security agent. The hotel was said to be used as a meeting point by some criminals.

Furthermore, the security agents under-covered a makeshift shop popularly known as “Mai tea” which the criminals used as an armoury. some arms and ammunition were also confiscated.

Recall that gunmen had on July 28 abducted a hotelier, Mr. Olugbenga Owolabi; a final year student of LAUTECH, Rachael Opadele and killed them after collecting N5million ransom.
