Troops arrest two suspects after attack on Benue community
Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have arrested two suspects following a terrorist attack on Chiley Island in Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State.

A military source said the troops, deployed at Gidan Pepa, responded to a distress call on the attack at about 9:30 p.m. on March 26.
The source disclosed that the troops swiftly mobilised to the scene and pursued the assailants along their withdrawal route.
“During the pursuit operation, troops apprehended two suspects linked to the attack,” the source said.
He added that the suspects are currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
