Troops Intercept Four Kidnapped Victims Along Kogi Border Route

Troops of 12 Brigade have intercepted four kidnapped victims during a fighting patrol along the old Obajana–Tajimi–Felele road in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Security sources said the interception occurred at about 4:49 p.m. on May 8, 2026, when troops on patrol made contact and discovered the victims who had earlier been abducted from different locations in Auchi, Edo State in April 2026.
The victims were immediately taken into custody by the troops for safety, debriefing and further necessary action.
Military authorities said follow-up operations are ongoing in the general area to track down the abductors and dismantle possible criminal routes linking Edo and Kogi States.
