Troops Destroy Terrorists’ Camps in Sokoto Offensive Operation

Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, CSI Battalion VII have destroyed suspected terrorists’ camps during an offensive operation in Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Security sources disclosed that the operation was conducted at about 10:12 a.m. on Saturday and targeted suspected criminal hideouts in Sayinna, Kaddida, Bedi, Zamoria and Alia Forest.
The sources said the troops, during the operation, discovered and destroyed several camps as well as life-support structures used by the terrorists within the hilly terrain.
According to the sources, military uniforms and other kits were also recovered from the camps during the clearance operation.
The sources added that the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist enclaves and deny criminal elements freedom of action across the state.
