Zagazola Makama Disowns Fake X Account, Threatens Legal Action Against Impersonators
The security intelligence and counter-insurgency analysis group, Zagazola Makama, has disowned a fake social media account allegedly impersonating its brand on X, formerly Twitter, warning the public against engaging with the handle.
In an official statement issued on Friday, the group clarified that its only verified and authentic X account is [@ZagazOlaMakama](https://x.com/ZagazOlaMakama?utm_source=chatgpt.com), stressing that it has no affiliation whatsoever with the account identified as @zmakama32755.
The organisation, which describes itself as a network of security analysts and counter-insurgency experts operating across the Lake Chad Basin and West Africa, accused the operators of the fake account of impersonation and misuse of its brand identity.

According to the statement, the group has commenced steps to pursue legal action against those behind the account as well as any individuals or entities exploiting the Zagazola Makama name or reputation for fraudulent or misleading purposes.
“The Zagazola Makama group will take full legal action against the operators of @zmakama32755 and any individuals or entities misusing our brand name or reputation,” the statement said.
The group further urged members of the public and the wider X community not to follow, engage with, send direct messages to, or share content originating from the alleged fake handle.
It also cautioned against relying on any information, requests or publications from the impersonating account, advising users to immediately report the handle to X for impersonation violations.
